The cast grows! 4 big numbers added to the Festival competition today

The latest numbers come from Portugal, Italy, Spain and Ukraine: the numbers competing at the Festival reflect the choice to balance traditional Circus with innovative acts. Justin Ricardito, The Tribertis, Raúl Alegría, Irina & Sofia have all prepared numbers to thrill the audiences of the International Circus Festival of Italy, which opens on October 13; hand balance, acrobatic skating, magic, acrobatic duo are their disciplines. Each year we confirm our intent to keep this as a multicultural event as the city of Latina prepares to become a world capital of circus arts for a few days. Our impressive venue for the Festival, covering 4,000sqm in via Rossetti at Latina, is about to become one of the biggest international Circus event sites in the world.

13. JUSTIN RICARDITO

🇵🇹 PORTUGAL – HAND BALANCE

Dinner shows, which are not very common in Italy, provide an evening of entertainment that includes fine dining, a welcoming atmosphere, and an enjoyable professional show, all under one roof. Justin Ricardito, a young Portuguese performer, has presented his traditional hand balance number within these type of venues, which are often a showcase for new talents to be discovered, ready to move on to bigger stages. Justin Ricardito is performing a classical Circus number at the International Circus Festival of Italy, with original choreography that displays his technical skills.

14. THE TRIBERTIS

🇮🇹 ITALY – ACROBATIC SKATING

Carlo Triberti is a member of one of Italy’s most renowned Circus families, and represents the seventh generation of its performers. Carlo has already won over distinguished audiences around the world with his talent on roller skates, and in this discipline, Carlo Triberti holds world records. His partner is Ursula Nuñez Rossi, a fifth-generation performer of her family. The circular base on which they work has a small diameter of a little over a metre and a half: on this platform they present an exhilarating acrobatic skating number which is both exciting and dangerous.

15. RAÚL ALEGRÍA

🇪🇸 SPAIN – MAGIC

Raúl Alegría grew up fascinated by magic and illusionism: as a small child, he watched his father doing magic tricks, and later on watched magic on television. Today, Raúl is an established illusionist with thirty years of experience in theatres, circuses, variety shows and more, and has performed in over 25 countries around the world. His speciality is big illusions, which he presents with dynamic and powerful choreography. Raúl Alegría’s most recent accolade is the Merlin Award, given to him in 2018 by the International Magicians Society for best escapologist. The new number he is bringing to Latina has been created especially for this Festival.

16. IRYNA & SOFIA

🇺🇦 🇵🇹 UKRAINE, PORTUGAL – HAND TO HAND

Iryna Bessonova, born in Ukraine in 1986, started to study gymnastics at the age of six. In 2003 she appeared in the world’s most illustrious circus ring, at the New Generation youth competition in Monte-Carlo. As a solo artist, she has already performed in America and Oceania as well as in Europe. She also has experience as a teacher of acrobatics to young children. At the International Circus Festival of Italy, Iryna is partnered with Sofia Alexandra Pereira Rolão, a 26-year-old Portuguese artist. The number they are bringing to Latina, “Body inspiration”,  is completely new, and has been created especially for this Festival.
